Meet Mrs. Chetina, Thee I Am

Chetina Guadalupe (she/her) — known in spiritual spaces as Mrs. Chetina, Thee I Am — is the creator of Westcoast Workins’, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Healer, Hoodoo Practitioner, and Songstress who creates spaces for growth and the return to self.

Chetina has been drawn to the spiritual since she was a child — questioning, wondering, reaching for tools before she had words for any of it. She built altars and venerated her ancestors long before she knew what to call that practice. She always knew, somewhere underneath, that spirituality was meant to be lived freely. Today she is guided by her ancestors and spirit guides, and protected and gifted through God.

Her work is rooted in a simple belief: understanding your lineage’s indigenous practices isn’t optional — it’s the thread that has carried your people through generations. She is equally committed to breaking down the barriers that keep people from healing in the first place, equipping them with practical tools for a deeper understanding of self and others. As she puts it: if you are informed, you’ve already won half the battle — but what you do with that information is what matters most.

Spiritually, Chetina is rooted in Christianity, and she draws on its liberatory elements, transmuting all of the other components, to inform and elevate her practice of Hoodoo within the African Diaspora. Where her words don’t reach you, her music will — because sometimes the thing we’re missing isn’t information, it’s someone showing us how to be mentally strong enough to persevere. Friend, sister, neighbor, “that girl” — Chetina shows up as herself, on purpose, because that’s how she reaches people.

Her goal is to weave together music, spirituality, and mental health into one offering that elevates her community.

Westcoast Workins’ exists to build you up the way Spirit intended — a guiding light helping you strive, every day, as an individual and within every role you hold in your community.
